This guide summarises what Pakistani students need for a UK Student visa. Always confirm details on GOV.UK before you apply. ## 1. An offer and a CAS You need an unconditional offer from a licensed student sponsor and a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). ## 2. When to apply From outside the UK, the earliest you can apply is 6 months before your course starts. Decisions usually arrive within about 3 weeks. ## 3. Fees - Visa application fee from outside the UK: £558

  • Immigration Health Surcharge: paid as part of your application; the cost depends on how long your visa lasts. ## 4. Money for living costs Unless you are exempt, you must show: - £1,529 per month (for up to 9 months) if you will study in London
  • £1,171 per month (for up to 9 months) elsewhere in the UK You must have held this money for at least 28 days in a row and the 28-day period must end within 31 days of your application. This is in addition to any unpaid tuition fees. ## 5. TB test Pakistan is on the list of countries where you need a tuberculosis (TB) test from a Home Office-approved clinic before applying. ## 6. English You must show you can read, write, speak and understand English. Your university usually confirms how this is assessed in your CAS. ## After you graduate See our article on the Graduate route changes for 2027.
